CANCELED: Women in History Presents: Dessert with Jane Edna Hunter In-Person

Born in 1882 to sharecropper parents, Jane Edna Hunter rose from poverty to launch a nationally recognized career working to improve the conditions for African-American women. A social worker and attorney, she established the Working Girls Association in Cleveland, Ohio, which later became the Phillis Wheatley Association of Cleveland, providing young Black women with safe housing, job training, and recreation.

Join us this evening for an all-ages performance of Jane Edna Hunter, portrayed by living history performer Jeannine Gaskin from Women in History. Dessert will be provided.  Registration is requested.
