Community Support with Angela Flowers

Do you need a safe space to exist and collect your thoughts about current events and the long-lasting oppression against people of color? Join us for a community support conversation facilitated by Angela Flowers, Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSSA, LISW-S. Share your thoughts and experiences and receive comfort from fellow community members as you forge a path forward.

About Angela:

Angela C. Flowers is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio, business author, community activist, life coach, motivational speaker, grant writer, and program developer. She speaks and facilitates conversations with children and teens on topics that include self-esteem, bullying, suicide, depression, sexual abuse, and witnessing violence. Ms. Flowers is an entrepreneur, co-founder of both Making A Difference Consulting and Children and Family Therapeutic Solutions (CFTS), a private practice clinical counseling agency and has written a children’s book “Footprints in the Sky” which was released in the Spring 2016 and focuses on grief and loss. She was previously selected by the Sundt Memorial Foundation as the Educator of the Year as well as the Miller Urban Entrepreneurial Series (MUES) business plan competition winner and was awarded a monetary gift.  Ms. Flowers was recently selected to receive funding for business development and was a part of Cohort 2 by Jumpstart Inc., a small business incubator in Northeast Ohio. 

Her signature gender specific groups “D.I.V.A.S. (Demonstrating Inner Value, Acceptance, and Self-Worth) and “Boyz 2 Men” has been a success with adolescent youth. In her spare time, Ms. Flowers gives back to the community through volunteering at various youth programs and hosting an annual summer camp for girls in collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Public Library.. Angela has helped to transform the lives of thousands of teenagers and has been coined the “Teen Talk Guru.”  Angela empowers and inspires youth to find their inner value and worth by identifying their strengths and tapping into their potential. Through exposure. Mentoring, and speaking life into youth and their families, Ms. Flowers has helped youth find their true calling in life. 

Angela received her Master's of Science in Social Administration from the Mandel School of applied social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University and B.S. in Psychology from John Carroll University. Ms. Flowers is an active board member for DeZine for Success, a youth non-profit entrepreneurial organization.
