Join local author and historian Jim Sweeney as he talks about his deep dive into the history of Cleveland's Flats..
His upcoming book, The Rise and Fall (and Rise) of the Flats, tells the story of the area at Cleveland’s heart. It’s where Moses Cleveland came ashore and where John D. Rockefeller got his start. It’s where the river burned and started a national ecological movement; it’s where an industrial hub was transformed into a playground for the Midwest. This talk will span the history of the Flats and explore its future.
