Virtual How We Fight for Our Lives with Saeed Jones

Euclid Public Library is proud to present a virtual conversation with Saeed Jones, author of the Kirkus Prize for Nonfiction-winning memoir How We Fight for Our Lives (2019). Jones's debut poetry collection, Prelude to Bruise, received a starred review in Publishers Weekly in 2014. His work engages themes of intimacy, race, and power, often incorporating mythology. 

Born in Memphis, TN, and raised in Lewisville, TX, Jones earned a BA at Western Kentucky University and an MFA at Rutgers University-Newark. Jones is a recipient of the Pushcart Prize and has been awarded fellowships from Cave Canem and Queer/Art/Mentorship. He previously co-hosted Buzzfeed's AM to DM show, wrote the advice column "Dear Ferocity" for Buzzfeed's READER newsletter, and currently lives in Columbus, OH.
